Lemon Bio Refined Carrageenan Project Officially Commissioned, Strengthening Core Portfolio of Pectin, Citrus Fiber, and Carrageenan

On December 15, 2023, Jiangxi Lemon Biotechnology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Guangzhou Lemon Biotechnology Co., Ltd., announced the successful commissioning of its 1,000 MT refined carrageenan production line. Following the launch of its 3,000 MT pectin facility and 1,000 MT citrus fiber facility, this milestone further enhances Lemon Bio’s strategic presence in the natural hydrocolloid industry and provides solid support for global market expansion.

Carrageenan, a natural polysaccharide extracted from red seaweed, is free from synthetic chemicals and globally recognized as a safe and healthy food ingredient. With its gelling, thickening, stabilizing, suspending, and emulsifying functions, carrageenan is widely applied in processed meat, gummies, puddings, ice cream, dairy, and beverages.
